Pristine Mustang

May 24, 2011

This 1990 Ford Mustang is currently for sale on eBay. It has 195K on the engine and looks to be in pristine condition. The bid started at 1000 dollars and there are five days left for bidding. You can tell the owner took good care of the car. The only modification to the car is a Flowmaster exhaust system. The owner claims the miles are all highway. It’s amazing how all of the used cars I’ve looked at over the years are all highway miles. What a coincidence. Judging by the way the owner took care of the exterior and interior I would say this car is in good condition. So what would you be willing to pay for a car like this?

According to Kelley Blue Book this car is only worth $1,975 and that’s for a car in excellent condition. If I was in the market for a Mustang I would be willing to pay $3000 for this car. I really like the two tone paint combination and the stock wheels. I like that it’s a manual transmission and that there aren’t many early 90s Mustangs on the road today. I wouldn’t be surprised if the car ends up selling for over five thousand. Whenever you are selling a car make sure it looks like it’s in pristine condition even if it isn’t. I’m just curious why the owner is selling this beauty. Maybe high gas prices?

I’ve test driven a couple of Mustangs before but they were all automatic. Driving a manual is probably a lot funner.

Even though this is a 5.0 liter V8 engine, it only generates 225 horsepower. But it has gobs of torque and it’s the torque that really matters in daily driving.
