Free Cars

Want to drive a car for free?

There are companies out there giving away cars for free to people who qualify. In return you agree to drive the car for a specific period of time with advertisements displayed all around the vehicle.

But are these cars really for free? Not really because you have to return the car at the end of the agreement. The good part is you only pay for gas and insurance. The program is perfect for those just looking to get from point A to point B.

There are two types of programs available. You can either drive your own car and get paid to drive or you can drive a company issued car for free.

Personally, I would rather drive my own car and get paid for it.

The downside is you’re not allowed to take the stickers off for the duration of the agreement. Soon you’ll be known as the windows blinds guy or the home insurance guy. But that’s okay because you’ll be saving tons of money. You don’t have to worry about car payments, depreciation and maintenance.

Are you ready for your free car?

First, you have to be 18 years old and need to have a good driving record.

Second, you have to drive a certain route. If you’re mostly commuting to work on back roads then you shouldn’t bother applying. The advertising companies want maximum exposure so they want people who travel on busy roads. I have to admit, these commercials on wheels really attract my attention every time I see one.

What are the downsides of getting into a program like this?

Like I said before, the advertisement stays on your car for the length of the agreement. Make sure your family doesn’t mind getting stared at, or laughed at, depending on the product being advertised.

Not surprisingly, demand is high for these free cars so don’t expect to get a car right away. It could take months to get accepted into a program. People love driving free cars and I don’t blame them especially in this economy.

Are you ready for your free car?

You can start by visiting The Free Car. A one year membership is usually around thirty dollars. I don’t know why you have to pay a membership fee but I checked out all of the major sites and they all make you pay up.

Check out this eye-catching BMW SUV. Most companies do not offer high end cars like this so don’t expect to get one any time soon.

Would you rather drive the Beetle or the minivan? I actually prefer the minivan. The big can on the trunk attracts too much attention.
